[Remote] Senior Global Category Manager, Electrical Assemblies

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world. The role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency, managing additional supply chain complexity and ensuring scalable manufacturing capacity for product launches.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PCBA sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure
  • Understand industry and technology trends
  • Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives in those products
  • Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop negotiations strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationship with suppliers
  • Responsible to provide weekly core-team updates, deliver executive level updates on a monthly basis, and will be responsible for vendor escalations in order to resolve any issues related to his/her category
  • Present to senior leadership via written narratives

Skills

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
